In the early years of the Swannanoa Gathering, I would give my printer’s in-house designer my ideas for what I’d like to see on the cover of our catalogs for him to then execute, but the result never matched what I was seeing in my head, so I taught myself Photoshop and began making the covers myself. Fourteen of the covers you see here won PICA design awards from the Printing Industry of the Carolinas.
